Thanks for your time on Monday and the treatment on the new NMS460.
I can’t believe how much better I felt after 1 session and felt I should write and let you know my thoughts on the equipment.“Since the session I had with you on the NMS460, the next day, all pain had disappeared and by Wednesday, I was experiencing something I don’t think I can ever remember. Pain free all day without medication.”As you are aware after an MRI scan in August 2010, It highlighted I have a detached vertebrae at C4 and some issues around C5,6 & 7 which has required on-going Physio or the alternative is an operation with no guarantees.The injury was probably caused due to my former profession as a full time professional footballer and now the body is feeling the effects.
My problems have been severe pain in the neck, shoulder blade and down the left arm with constant tingling down through the arm which was a major discomfort. I have been having regular sessions with a Chartered sports Physio at least 2 every week for the last 2 years or more, fortunately with him being my brother, Gerry Docherty, this has had no cost and he has always managed to sort out my problems and get me mobile. I would hate to having had to pay for this as it would have run into thousands of pounds.
However, since September this year, the pain become so severe, it made it impossible for him to manipulate me. It became so bad, I was off work for 9 days and in the last 14 years, I can’t think when I had a sick day.
I tried various types of medication and had around 10 sessions of acupuncture, which although eased the suffering, the nerve pain was still there, but allowed me to start attending Physio again. Physio however gave me some more relief, although very painful during the session, without total cure as the main issue was deep neuropathic pain.
Since the session I had with you on the NMS460, the next day, all pain had disappeared and by Wednesday, I was experiencing something I don’t think I can ever remember. Pain free all day without medication.
I then went for a Physio session that night and he could not believe that whatever part of the previously affected areas he went to, no pain could be found. This was fantastic for me as I probably wasn’t the bravest patient he had.
Today, I feel a slight pain in my elbow, which both you and the Physio has confirmed as mild tennis elbow and nothing to do with the nerve pains I had previously experiencing, so again good news and I understand from our telephone conversation that the NMS460 can solve this problem also.
In this regard, I am delighted with the result but I am under no illusions that due to my structural problem, some sort of pain will return. At least now I will know what to do if it reoccurs.
I would also add, that I have no problems with you providing my details to anyone interested in the treatment as I have nothing but good to say about the machine.
It has been over 3 years since I have played golf, but looking forward to getting back out there, Scottish weather permitting of course. HaHa.
